What my job entails

Digital marketing is advertising delivered through digital channels such as social media, mobile applications, email, web applications, search engines, websites.

Digital marketing is that one space where you can have a mix of fun and professionalism, just as the saying goes ”all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. An interesting fact of my job is that I can work from anywhere in the world. I must not be in the office environment to carry out my allotted task. Just with the internet and a laptop, I can convey clients’ jobs satisfactorily.

With my profession, I learned one skill, and that is to be tolerant and engaging in terms of dealing with different clients based on their various vision to express their creative perception, because the room for sharing ideas has no limitation when it comes to digital marketing, and since it’s such a dynamic sector with a range of disciplines, you are likely to meet and work with individuals from different backgrounds and different interests.

There’s always something to learn with digital marketing because it’s always on the move like city traffic. It never stops. There must be something new to know about it, and that keeps things interesting, which takes me to my next point.

 Not only is there plenty of opportunities for persons to be creative in writing, design, and even video and audio production. There is also plenty of room for day-to-day creativity in a general sense.

After all, in such a dynamic environment, there will always be a need for new ways to think about marketing products, solving problems, conducting A/B tests, improving customer experience, and engaging

Change is good, especially when things are stale for too long. Change is challenging, and as for me, that makes me love digital marketing even more. It’s kind of like an online multiplayer video game. No matter how much you play, each match is a little different because it changes over time.

Challenges as part of my job I frequent certain challenges which comprise of: 

1. Most times, some clients have unreal imaginations. As a digital marketer, I have to try and envision their thoughts into reality by making researches. This step ensures that they stay relevant to their business model and make them stand out.
2. Keeping my client first is my major priority by such I might be having to deal with more than one client at a time, by such am prone to multitasking 
3. Convincing your client to upscale their payment the truth is digital services are not cheap to comprehend due to some technical purchase which most clients aren’t aware of 
4. Clients are not always enlightened enough on the advancement of marketing their brand from local to going digital.

Solution

1. Educating myself online by taking online classes. These classes help to advance my knowledge in my profession to be in line with the current trend of the digital space world.
